Trade Mark Regulations 1995

Oppositions to protection of international trade marks may be based on the grounds contained in sections 39, 41 (177 for certification trade marks), 42, 43, 44, 58, 58A, 59, 60, 61, 62A and regulation 17A.34(4) (see reg 17A.34 for the necessary modifications). International trade marks cannot be defensive trade marks, so section 187 does not apply.
