39.8. Notification of Protection process for International Registrations Designating Australia

Date Published

International Registrations Designating Australia (IRDA) have different requirements from standard applications in relation to registration.

Once an IRDA has gained protection in Australia a batch job is automatically run in the admin system to create a Certificate of Extension of Protection in Australia and corresponding notice for each IRDA registered.

This data is sent to a system that uploads the data and uses it to create a batch of electronic certificates. The user is then notified that the batch is ready for checking and approving for printing and dispatching.

The history in the electronic records system is updated to show the date on which a Certificate of Protection has been dispatched.
