10.2.1 Accessing the QP Portal

Date Published

Overview

The QP Portal is accessed through IP Australia’s Online Services. A QP must use an Online Services account that matches the email address recorded against their QP accreditation. If the email address does not match, the QP may not be able to view applications assigned to them.

How do I access the QP Portal?

The QP Portal is accessed through Online Services.

To access the portal:

  • log in to your Online Services account

  • navigate to:

    • Plant breeder’s rights → Examination → Qualified persons portal

What Online Services account do I need?

Your Online Services account must use the same email address as your QP accreditation.

If the email address used for Online Services does not match the email address recorded for your QP accreditation, access to applications may not be available.

Is multi-factor authentication required?

Yes. Multi-factor authentication is required to sign in to Online Services. Assistance with setting up an Online Services account and multi-factor authentication is available on IP Australia’s external guidance page: Set up multi-factor authentication for Online Services.

What if I cannot access the Portal?

If you cannot access the QP Portal:

  • check that you are using the correct Online Services account

  • confirm that the email address for your Online Services account matches your QP accreditation

  • contact the PBR Office if your QP accreditation details need to be updated

  • ensure multi-factor authentication has been completed for Online Services

If you need help with using or accessing Online Services, please call the IP Australia contact centre on 1300 651 010 or contact us using one of the other options on our contact page.
