10.2.3 Submitting PETAs and Detailed Descriptions

Overview

QPs can use the QP Portal to draft, save, submit, edit and resubmit PETAs and detailed descriptions. The portal saves progress when Save & Continue is selected. After submission, the QP receives a confirmation email and the application status updates in the portal.


Can I save my work and return later?

Yes.

Progress is saved when you select Save & Continue.

When you return to the portal:

  • you will return to the last saved page

  • information entered on a page is not saved unless you select Save & Continue


What happens after I submit a PETA or detailed description?

After submission:

  • you will receive a confirmation email with a copy of your submission

  • the portal status updates to reflect submission

  • the status update may take a few minutes

  • an examiner will review the submission in line with existing practices


What if I need to make changes after submission?

If changes are required:

  • the examiner may request amendments via notification

  • the application status will update to allow editing and resubmission

  • you can edit and resubmit through the portal, even when the submitted document appears in the table as Submitted


What if I identify an issue after submission?

If you identify an issue yourself:

  • update and resubmit through the portal

  • notify the PBR Office so the revised version can be considered during examination
