10.2.4 Portal Statuses

Date Published

Overview

The QP Portal displays application statuses to indicate whether action is required by the QP or whether a submission is under consideration by IP Australia. Some known system limitations apply, including how comparator varieties are displayed in the PDF copy sent by email.

What do portal statuses mean?

The QP Portal uses status indicators to show where an application sits in the workflow. The existing page explicitly identifies the following statuses:

  • Pending PETA

  • Pending Detailed Description

These statuses indicate that action is required by the QP. Typical actions include drafting, editing and submitting a PETA or detailed description.

What if my application status is incorrect?

If the portal status does not reflect the correct stage:

  • contact the PBR Office at pbr@ipaustralia.gov.au

  • provide application details

  • describe the issue so it can be reviewed and corrected if required
