Date Published

Overview

The QP Portal only displays active applications that have been accepted and assigned to the nominated QP. Applications are not reassigned through the portal. If an application needs to be assigned to a different QP, the applicant or agent must submit a new Nomination of a Qualified Person form.

Why can’t I see one of my applications?

Applications will only appear in the QP Portal when:

  • the application has been accepted

  • you are recorded as the nominated qualified person

  • the application is active

Applications do not appear in the portal after grant, withdrawal or refusal.

Each application can only be assigned to one QP.

How do I assign an application to myself?

Applications cannot be reassigned through the QP Portal. IP Australia can process the assignment if the appropriate nomination has been made and approved.

To assign an application to yourself:

  • the applicant or their agent must submit a new Nomination of a Qualified Person form

  • IP Australia will assess the request

  • if approved, IP Australia will notify you and reassign the application in the system

How do I know when action is required?

You will be notified when an application requires action.

An email is sent once an application is accepted and assigned to you. Applications requiring action are also listed under Action required in the portal.
