5.1.12. Applicant name: Business names and 'trading as'
Date Published
Business names (e.g. ‘John’s Plumbing’ and ‘trading as’) cannot be used as the individual name because they are not persons.
The application may have a name of an individual applicant but include a trading style or business name as well (e.g. 'Joe Dover t/as Joe’s Plumbing'), but the trading style and business name will not be entered onto the database.
